With the film set in place, it is time to trim the film edges. Do this one side at a time.
Using the utility knife with the window frame as a guide, begin in a corner and carefully trim away the
excess film as close to the edge as you are able. You will notice there is water still under the edge of the film. Don't worry, you will squeegee this water out after the film is completely trimmed.
Once the film has been trimmed on a side, carefully pull off the excess. Make sure that as you remove the excess you are pulling it away from the window edge. Do this very carefully so you do not rip the area of the film which will remain on the glass. We recommend making a clean cut through the film that will allow you to simply pull the excess piece away.
PRO TIP: Don't forget your utility knife has a breakaway blade. You can break off the blade tip after every few cuts to ensure you have a nice sharp edge that will produce a clean cut.
