Installing window film is one of the easiest do-it-yourself projects there is. But like all home projects, good preparation is critical – starting with a clean window is key to ensuring the best result. All of our films are made with a dry adhesive that is activated with a soap and water solution, so the film will not stick to itself as you peel off the liner or move it around. In addition, there is no sticky residue, no messy clean-up, and no extraordinary skill involved.
Here is the basic process:
- Clean the inside surface of the window (films are always applied on the inside)
- Remove the protective liner from the film using the applied tab (exposing the adhesive)
- Spray the film and the window with the soap/water mixture
- Apply the film to the window
- Squeegee out the water and trim the edges.
