Step #1a - Gathering tools needed for window film installation

You'll need some tools and common household items to install your new window film. The following items are available as part of Concord Window Film’s Installation Tool Kit available for purchase on windowfilm.com:

• BlueMax Squeegee
• Razor Blade Scraper
• Utility Knife
• Yellow Film Marker
• 32 oz. Spray Bottle
• Slip-Tack Installation Solution

You’ll also need the following common household items to complete your window film project:

• Scissors
• Paper towels
• Drop cloth or towels

The next step is to ensure your work area is cleared and prepared. It is helpful to have a flat surface ready to lay the film on prior to application such as a table or countertop for marking and trimming the film to size and removing the liner.

PRO TIP: For optimal results, make sure the area around the window is clean and free of any pet hair, dust, or debris that dust, or debris that could attach to the film during installation.
